The Walking School Bus

Welcome to the "Us Bus"

Arlington's inter-generational Walking School Bus (known as the "Us Bus") pairs adult volunteers of all ages with elementary school students who live within the one-mile walk zone around Oakridge to help students walk safely to school in the mornings.

Established in 2021 through partnerships across Arlington including the Commission on Aging's Age-Friendly Arlington Initiative, Arlington County's 55+ Program, WalkArlington, and Virginia Safe Routes to School
